Works with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor

Your users nitpick.
Your agent fixes it.

In-app feedback for apps you build with AI. Users point at the exact thing that bugs them; your coding agent pulls it in over MCP and ships the fix.

One complaint, start to finish

What happens in this demo

  1. A user of your app taps the Feedback tab and chooses Point at something.
  2. They tap the Start button. A red ring marks it and the name Home/StartButton appears.
  3. They type Too small to hit with my thumb and tap Send. A screenshot goes along.
  4. A few minutes later, you ask your coding agent to check nitpick for open feedback. It calls list_feedback and gets one open report on Home/StartButton, with the comment and the screenshot.
  5. The agent changes .frame(height: 36) to .frame(minHeight: 56) in Sources/Home/StartButton.swift and calls resolve_feedback. The report is marked resolved.
  6. In the next build the Start button is big enough to tap.

Your user hits something annoying and taps the Feedback tab.

In your terminal

How it works

Three steps. One of them is yours.

  1. 01

    Paste the prompt

    Your agent installs the CLI, logs you in through the browser, adds the component and fills in a theme that looks like your app.

  2. 02

    Users point

    Someone taps the edge tab, picks Point at something and taps the button that bugs them. You get a screenshot, the spot and a name like Home/StartButton.

  3. 03

    Your agent fixes it

    It calls list_feedback over MCP, looks at the screenshot, edits the file the name points to and calls resolve_feedback.

Two platforms

SwiftUI and Expo,
same behavior.

The agent writes this for you. You can read it first, or do it by hand: a few lines to attach, a name on the things worth pointing at.

  • Edge tab, in your app's colors
  • 20 languages, picked from the device
  • Your colors and font, or ours
  • Expo Go works
App.swift
import SwiftUI
import Nitpick

@main
struct MyApp: App {
    init() { Nitpick.configure(appKey: "npk_YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY") }

    var body: some Scene {
        WindowGroup { RootView().nitpick() }
    }
}

// Name what users may point at
Button("Start", action: start)
    .nitpickElement("Home/StartButton")

Needs iOS 17 or newer. The Swift package ships its own privacy manifest.

Respect for your users

Only what they choose to send.

What it captures

Only after the user opens the form and taps Send.

  • A screenshot of your own app screen, with a preview the user can remove
  • Where they tapped, and the screen and element names you set
  • Their comment
  • Device model, OS version, app version

What it never does

No permission prompts, because there is nothing to ask.

  • Capture anything in the background or before they open it
  • Record the screen, or touch the photo library or other apps
  • Know who they are: feedback is always anonymous
  • Show what you masked: card numbers and passwords come out black

Ready-made answers for Apple App Privacy and Google Play Data safety, and a paragraph for your privacy policy, are in the privacy docs.

CLI and MCP

Feedback goes where your agent already is.

No model key on our side. Your agent uses your own AI subscription and calls six tools: list_apps, list_feedback, get_feedback, resolve_feedback, reopen_feedback, feedback_stats. It also gets the screenshot, with the tap and the element box drawn on it.

Prefer your terminal? The same things work from the command line.

FAQ

Questions people nitpick about.

Can I use it today?

Not publicly yet. Nitpick is a working name on a development setup, and the packages are not published. The docs say so in one place and describe the version 0.1 surface the packages are built to.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You paste one prompt into your coding agent and it does the install. You only log in through the browser. The agent also marks which parts of your app users can point at.

Does the user's phone ask for permissions?

No. The component takes a screenshot of your own app, made by your app. Nothing is captured before the user opens the form, and nothing in the background. The user sees a preview and can remove the screenshot before sending.

Is feedback anonymous?

Always. No name, email, account or device id of the user. The device model is an identifier like iPhone16,1, never the name the user gave their phone.

Does Nitpick run AI on my feedback?

No. Your agent reads the reports over MCP with your own AI subscription. There is no model key on our side.

Which apps work?

SwiftUI apps for iOS 17 or newer, and Expo or React Native apps, including Expo Go. Native Kotlin and Flutter are not supported.

Why one price?

$9 a month per account, for unlimited apps. One plan keeps it simple. Limits on reports or storage may come later, and I will say so before they do.

What do the app stores think about this?

The user starts it, sees what leaves and taps Send. The docs include what to fill in at Apple App Privacy and Google Play Data safety, and a paragraph for your privacy policy. It is information, not legal advice.

Stop guessing
what bugs them.

Paste one line. Let your agent do the rest.
